====== Fix Office Outlook Hyperlink Restrictions Error ======
When you click a hyperlink in Microsoft Outlook or other Office applications, you may receive the error **"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."** This, in most cases is caused by broken .html, http or https protocol file association.  I've found this to be caused by a cancelled installation of Chrome, or the uninstaller did not work correctly.

To resolve the problem, set Internet Explorer as the default web browser by using these steps:

===== For Windows XP =====
  - Click Start, Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs
  - Click Set Program Access and Defaults
  - Click Custom
  - Under Choose a default Web browser, select Internet Explorer
  - Click OK

===== For Windows Vista and Windows 7 =====
  - Click Start, and click Default Programs
  - Click Set program access and computer defaults
  - Click Custom, select Internet Explorer and click OK
  - Close and re-open Microsoft Outlook
