====== Flashing the Droid X ====== ===== Choosing =====
Personally, I go for speed and stability. I was getting that with Apex. It is currently at version 2.0 RC4 running on the .605 update. The only thing that is annoying me is trying to stay up to date with it and where the updates will be posted. The developer has a site, but it is still covering RC3. Here are some links on Apex:

This is the problem I was worried about. You find something you like, and the developer gets a new phone. You can't balame him since he is putting a lot of work into something and giving it away for free. I'm just back to a stock rooted image. I ran into some stability problems and a number fo things didn't work properly or at all. ===== Preparation ===== - Run Titanium Backup and backup all apps and data - Export your contacts to SD - Create a Nandroid backup ===== Installing ===== - ROM Manager to Recovery - Go into Advanced - Format System - Format Data - Format Cache - Back out of Advance...to Dalvik...Wipe Cache - Mount System... - Install zip Apex AIO... - Reboot... -- Main.FredPettis - 2011-11-13
