A standard English-language version of the popular board game Scrabble has 100 letter tiles. There are two blank tiles that do not have any value in terms of points, that is, their score is zero. Besides that, there are 12 E's, nine A's, nine I's, eight O's, six R's, six N's, six T's, four L's, four S's and four U's, all of which are worth one point each. There are four D's and three G's, which are valued at two points each. The tiles that carry three points each are the letters B, C, M and P, of which there are two apiece in a standard Scrabble set. F, H, V, W and Y are the five letters that carry four points each. There are two each of all of them as well in a game of Scrabble. There is one K which is valued at five points. The rarely-used letters, J and X are valued higher, at eight points apiece, and the highest point value is assigned to the two rarest letters, namely Q and Z, which carry 10 points apiece.
